  1. REGISTRATION DEADLINE - Yoga Classes in Exshaw

    December 11, 2017, All Day

    This gentle vinyasa flow yoga class introduces a creative sequencing of postures linked with breath to get you moving and to help to release the mind. Emerge relaxed and re-energized for the rest of your day/evening. All levels are welcome from beginner to more experienced practitioners. Safe, accessible modifications will be offered. Please arrive a few moments early, we will begin on time. Bring a yoga mat, blanket and personal props. If you don’t have a mat or props, we have extras! We need a minimum of 6 people to run the class. After that Drop-Ins are welcome at a cost of $13 per class. Only classes with a minimum of 6 registered will run, so please let your community know about this great opportunity. Friends and neighbours from the surrounding area are welcome!

  3. Exshaw Community Gym Nights

    December 12, 2017, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Exshaw School

    Families with your children ages 0-12, Teens & Adults Everyone is welcome to join this unstructured, ‘play in the gym’ time. Everyone plays together (not a drop-off program). Come and hang out and play whatever sport(s) you decide that week. Bring clean indoor runners, enter and leave your boots and outdoor shoes at the north doors just above the gym. Fill out a waiver the 1st time you attend & sign in each week. Participants are responsible for good sportsmanship, supervising their own children, for care of the school and equipment and for putting everything away neatly at the end of your play time. Doors will be relocked at 7:15 pm if no one has arrived & that week’s community gym time cancelled. Check facebook.com/mdbighorn weekly around 4:00pm on Tuesdays in case we have to cancel a gym night. Thank you to the following for their support so this program is FREE!!     Please Note the December 12th regular meeting of MD Council will Commence following the 10:00 am Public Hearing on Bylaw 17-z/17 MD Council meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month. All meetings are held at the MD office in Council Chambers and start at 9:00 am.

  2. Municipal Planning Commission

    December 20, 2017, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    Formed pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) considers and makes decisions on development permit applications, acts as the municipality’s subdivision approving authority, and provides advice to Council on planning and development related matters. Council Policy G2 #4. Due to the semi-judicial nature of the subject matter and possible litigious action that may fall out of decisions from certain bodies, the unadopted minutes for the Assessment Review Board hearings, the Municipal Planning Commission, and the Subdivision/Development Appeal Board shall not be posted on the web-site.
